Easter Egg Bark

Easter Egg Bark | This easy, 3 ingredient recipe for Easter Egg Bark is a crowd pleaser! | www.whatdandidnext.com

For those of you who don’t know, a few months back I kinda fell madly in love with Tupperware. Although I’d grown up with it in Mum’s kitchen, and my little sister had been harping on about if for years, I just couldn’t see past the price tag. But then somewhere over the past year I became a convert, a Tupperholic you might say, and wow am I glad. Tupperware products are seriously life changing, time savers in the kitchen, and they help me to come up with easy recipes like this Easter Egg Bark. Considering my penchant to avoid plastic, you’d think my new love for Tupperware is pretty obscure, but not as obscure as the fact that I love it so much, I now sell it too…

But I’m not here to sell you anything, just to share one of my simple recipes that I made using the Tupperware Silicone Baking Sheet with Rim. If you don’t have one of these, no worries, just use a slice tin instead.

Having that little rim all the way around the Silicone Baking Sheet not only prevents your chocolate from spilling over the edges, but is also the perfect depth for Easter Egg Bark. It works great for making homemade healthy fruit roll-ups for the kids too.

Easter Egg Bark is one of the simplest deserts you will ever make. And you can add as little or as many ingredients as you like to the mix. All I’ve used is some good quality white chocolate, mini marshmallows and speckled eggs. That’s it!Easter Egg Bark | This easy, 3 ingredient recipe for Easter Egg Bark is a crowd pleaser! | www.whatdandidnext.com

Isn’t it pretty though?

Instructions
  1. Prepare your Silicone Baking Sheet with Rim by placing it on a firm surface. That's it. No need to oil, coat or line. If you intend to move your bark into the fridge/freezer to speed up setting, make sure your baking sheet is on a tray large enough to hold it flat.
  2. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 60 seconds before removing and giving a good stir with a spatula. If all of the chocolate hasn't melted, microwave for a further 30 seconds, then stir.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted, pour it into your prepared Silicone Baking Sheet with Rim. Using a spatula, spread the chocolate evenly across the sheet.
  4. Sprinkle the speckled easter eggs onto the melted chocolate, followed by the mini marshmallows. Using your fingers, gently press the eggs/marshmallows in to the chocolate mixture.

  5. Leave to set for approximately 2 hours. I left mine on the bench and moved it to the fridge once it had firmed up, but if you have a tray big enough you can move yours to the fridge/freezer sooner.
  6. Once set, use your hands to gently break the bark into roughly sized and shaped pieces.

  7. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes

Don't like white chocolate? No worries, substitute your favourite milk/dark chocolate instead. You can also add extras like coconut, nuts, jelly lollies, cherries etc - whatever you like!
