BEACHSIDE ADVENTURES: IT’S OUTSIDE!
Today we took Rei Baby down to the beach. Rei Baby loves the beach and everything outdoors, which is great. The Big J and I just have to catch up with her enthusiasm. We’re not really one for the beach, or going outside for that matter, but we are trying to make positive changes that will have healthy influences on Rei Baby’s life. Living on the Gold Coast sure is making our beachside adventures a lot easier – what a beautiful part of the world we live in!
DAY TRIP TO BYRON BAY
On the weekend I had my first Mother’s Day (I may have mentioned it once or twice?), so our little family took a day trip to Byron Bay. As a result of this trip, I learnt something very important. Possibly life changing. Probably… Byron Bay is only a 45 minute drive from our place. Eer-mer-gaahhhhhddd! So Byron is not in fact a day trip, but more like a short drive. Not my usual must go place, but a recent visit from two of our nephews had the whole family off to Surfers for a fun adventure. So I figured that today I would let the boys tell you what they thought. It is more suited for the kids afterall…
GOLD COAST HORSE RIDING
On the weekend I was lucky enough to be invited along for a horse riding adventure. I went along as part of an excursion (do adults do excursions or are they relegated to the schooling years only?) with my team from the Ashy Bines Transformation Centre. And I have to say – it was fun!
PALM BEACH CURRUMBIN FARMERS MARKETS
After last week’s disappointing trip to the Organic Farmers Markets, we decided to try the Palm Beach Currumbin Farmers Markets. So glad that we did! The Palm Beach Currumbin Farmers Markets were a breath of fresh air, with lots of stall variety and competitive pricing. The markets are a hub of activity and had a relaxed vibe – the perfect way to start your weekend!
I know it’s been a while, but I’m finally back, ready to get my blog on. So ok, I haven’t quite finished unpacking yet, but meh. Unpacking pretty much sucks… Read more >
